
Area Restaurant General Manager- Circle Bistro and Notti Bianche
One Washington Circle Hotel and The George Washington University Inn, members of the Modus Hotels brand of boutique hotels, are currently seeking an Area Restaurant Manager for our hotel’s restaurants, Circle Bistro and Notti Bianche.

The ideal candidate is a polished, well-spoken individual who has a strong sense of leadership with significant restaurant management experience, experience managing multiple restaurant operations and prior hotel experience. You must have the ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Job Description:
Business activities:
• Taking responsibility for the business performance of two separate restaurants
• Analyzing and planning each restaurants needs and opportunities
• Organizing marketing activities to drive business and name recognition
• Developing a close working relationship with the hotel sales and catering team.
• Preparing reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales;
• Build a close working relationship with the hotel operations and the Modus culture.
• Effectively manage time and ensure there is a strong presence within both restaurants
• Work closely with the Chef’s to create and plan menu’s
Front of house:
• Coordinating the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts;
• managing staff and create a common sequence of service between both restaurants
• Effectively delegate and develop assistant managers and supervisors as leaders
• Develop and maintain high standards of service
• Ensuring that all employees adhere to the Modus Hotels standards
• Monitor and manage the floor during peak service times
• Recruiting, training and motivating staff;
• Greeting guests and ensuring guest satisfaction
Housekeeping:
• Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety;
• Ensuring all shift work is completed
• Checking stock levels and ordering supplies;
• Preparing cash drawers and providing petty cash as required;
